TELUK KEMANG Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad said the question on the BN candidates and distribution of seats among the component parties for the coming general election should be left to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
He said the prime minister had many resources to base on in making his assessment of the candidates to ensure victory for BN.
"Our job is to provide the machinery and to be prepared for the election.
"My advise to party members is to accept whoever is selected by the leadership," he told reporters after launching the project to build an additional building block and presentation of special school aid at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) St. Leonards here.
Mohd Isa, who is also Teluk Kemang Umno division leader and Bagan Pinang Assemblyman, said the BN election machinery in Teluk Kemang was prepared for the election. -Bernama
