SEREMBAN, Aug 8 — Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan today confirmed that he would contest a post in the Umno Supreme Council in October.
He said it would be difficult for a menteri besar, who was focused on administering a state, to hold a post higher than as a member of the supreme council, for example a vice-president. Mohamad, who is chairman of the Negeri Sembilan Umno Liaison Committee, said administering a state required total focus.
Holding a more senior post would require working full-time for the party, he told reporters at the Negeri Sembilan state government Aidilfitri open house, here. — Bernama
